Wider still and wider ..

You can now hear the service at St John's from various parts of the churchyard .

Why? Because the new sound system has extended the 'Loop' to cover the whole church, the coffee lounge, and beyond. This means that if you use a hearing aid, you can set it to the 'T' setting and hear the service directly.

We also have some new microphones in the pulpit and lectern, which means you shouldn't miss a word of the readings, prayers or sermon ... even if you want to.

Coming soon are some radio mikes so you'll hear the clergy wherever they are standing.

All of this, thanks to people who left money to St John's. If you would like to talk in confidence to about leaving money to St John's, contact David Owen our Legacy Officer on bethanddavidowen@btinternet.com.

I have a slight hearing impairment, and I found the volume of the sound system ideal today. It makes a huge difference so thanks to all involved and to the person who bequeathed the money to enable the work to be done, may he/she rest in peace.
