MEN DO A 'TURN' IN WOOD
Do you know the difference from your skew chisel and your spindle gouge? Or you’re parting tool from your rough out gouge? After one of the most interesting talks given to the ‘Men’s Thing’ Saturday 20th February, we all went away having had an introduction into the world of wood turning. Our guest speaker and demonstrator of the art of wood turning, Richard Hoodless, gave us a glimpse into just what you can do with different wood. From the bow of a pear tree to the trunk of the cherry, he amazed us all with the delicate and beautiful items that can be made from a blok of wood.
If you have not yet been along to one of our meetings, make a note in your diary
– March 20th - a talk on the art of model aircraft making, who knows maybe we might see one fly!!
