1611 celebrations
at St John’s Church

2011 is the 400th anniversary of two important events in this Parish’s life:

The Publication of the Authorized Version of the Bible (the King James Bible)
The re-building of our Lady Chapel

18 June
             10.00 – 4.00       Church open, 
with exhibitions
7.00pm               An evening of Jacobean Food and Music,
by ticket only

19 June
8.00 and 9.45     Said and Sung Eucharists
according to the Book of Common Prayer
2.00 – 4.00         Church open
7.00 pm              An evening of Jacobean Music and Drama,
open to all, free admission

22 June at 8.00pm and 23 June at 10.00am
A talk on Bible translation 

25 June
11.00                   The Maeldune Fayre on Plough Green
2.00 – 4.00         Church open

26 June
9.45                     Our Patronal Festival Eucharist in Church
2.00 – 4.00         Church open
