Up Periscope!

On Sunday 14 August the 9.45am service at St John's was broadcast live over the Internet as part of the @ChurchLive project with the CofE nationally.

There were a couple of broadcasts. The first to welcome people which you can see here:

The main service had between 30 and 50 people with us all the time and overall some 1,700 people watched part of the service live.

Japanese TV

A film crew from Japan's NHK television station arrived at St John's this week to interview our own Barbara Webb. Barbara was filmed in conversation with James Wong, the television herbalist, and Alastair Driver, river conservationist. The programme - which will be screened in Japan in June - is themed around Millais' painting Ophelia and the Hogsmill River.
