Councillor Ian Macdonald, the new Mayor of Kingston visits his old Cub Scout Pack in Worcester Park. The Mayor, a former member of 1st Old Malden (St John the Baptist) Scout Group in the 1960’s was invited to come along after the Pack found out that he was to be the new Mayor and was once a cub. The children presented him with a new Group scarf and invited him to join in the activities of the evening. Impressed with their knowledge about Mayor’s, Councillor Macdonald explained how he had found his time in the Cubs very helpful in later life. The Mayor has agreed to open the Scout Group’s annual summer Fair on the Plough Green Worcester Park on Saturday June 6th.
